Free home measuring and consultation
The measure checks room dimensions, doorways, stairs and changes of level. We discuss fitting access, furniture, the condition of existing floors and the stage of any building work. Tell us about heating systems and fixed features early. Plans can guide an initial conversation, but the final specification depends on the actual site.
A clear quotation
The quotation sets out the agreed materials and work. Ask us to clarify preparation, underlay, thresholds, removal of existing coverings, disposal and furniture arrangements so responsibilities are understood. If a concealed condition cannot be established yet, we identify the point that needs resolving before the work is committed.
The work beneath the surface
Subfloors should be assessed for stability, flatness and moisture as appropriate to the selected floor. Preparation may involve securing the base, an appropriate overlay or a compatible smoothing system. A new surface cannot correct unresolved damp or structural movement. The fitting specification follows the product and the conditions, rather than one method used everywhere.
Professional installation
Experienced fitters bring the agreed layout into the room, with care around edges, thresholds and stair details. We discuss the order of work and when the floor can be brought into use. Preparation and curing requirements may affect timing; the programme should leave room for them. For a renovation, coordinate access and room readiness with other trades.
Support after the last piece is fitted
Keep the written product and care information. Cleaning methods vary between carpet fibres, vinyl surfaces and timber finishes, so a universal cleaning treatment is not appropriate.
